Brooke Dyan Candy (born July 20, 1989) is an American rapper, singer, stylist, and former stripper. Raised in the suburbs of Los Angeles, Candy worked as a stripper in early adulthood. Candy appeared in Grimes' video for "Genesis" (2012), which gained viral success. The video was noted for Candy's unique look which consisted of pink, body-length corn rows and metallic, armour-like outfits. The release lead to Candy improving her status in the underground scene as she began to release her own material, including "Das Me" in 2012 and "Everybody Does" and "I Wanna Fuck Right Now" in 2013.
